passion

There's now a very few things I speak very passionately about. Not sure why this is, but here it goes.

I've started to speak about our countries politics a lot more openly. Though I'm not very educated when it comes to these things, I hope to change that. I've realized now more than ever how important it really is. I'm proud with the youth of this country to stand up after the last generations' absolute fuckery decision making has led this country into a very authoritarian state. It is now upon us to finally take a stand for our future. I cannot sit and stare at this fascist regime, i left the country to get higher education because of the exact reason I support this fully. Bettter education.

Accountability seems like an absurd idea to this regime. Not that they can use this protest as a vote bank but they'd rather kill the people that stand up against them.

Writing software that helps people. Particularly India. Disappointingly, the entire system is built on top of corruption. Any sane person living here even for a month even can tell you that. There's so much that can be improved, there always will be which is true even for developed countries. Speaking in terms of software for a second, for example, a lot of people trying to log onto a government portal at once? SERVER_TOOK_TOO_LONG_TO_RESPOND errors. This is supposedly a gov website btw. Repeated paper leaks, flaws in system security found by teen cybersec students(who give two f*cks, kudos to them) are a few sad examples, while the other pea of the same pod is 12 billion transactions in a single month in January '24 alone via UPI. How insane is that?

I also speak very loudly about open source and democratizing the petaflop. Mostly, due to george hotz's influence and also what I've seen anthropic recently do has led me to believe that is important we don't buy their goy slop, just because that's all they have to offer(on top of the already unannounced rate limits bs every other week). It's very clear since the start even Devin first came out, their whole campaign was we will replace software engineers. I did not buy that one bit, but now that they're at a better position in terms of product and also marketing, I believe they have at a much better spot in the race. I don't believe anthropic and their altruism. As long as this nation's free, You will not tell me what I can and cannot do with LLMs. That's not what "being aligned" means, lil pup.

Mythos was supposed to be this all powerful model, so was fable. Took us 6 weeks(???) to get kimi k3 and end their charade and I couldn't be happier. Can I run Kimi K3 on my computer/hardware I have at home? Def not. Is it good that their open-weights and moonshot doesn't pretend to know what's best for us? A thousand times yes.

Most of it is to gain fake clout, and raise bigger numbers before their IPO. But hey, what do I know?

I also have gotten back in letting my creative juices flow. No, I will not take back what I just typed. I want to create more meaningful content in video format, because that's what I'm relatively good at. You'll hopefully see some of this reflected on Blackboard's social media accounts and my own YouTube channel I'm trying to revive. See you there.
